Robins sang from the branches of a peach tree outside my window this morning. Spring is definitely on its way!
Are you ready?
Many businesses, like those robins, are yawning, stretching and shaking off the winter chill. It is time to get back to work.
First thing on the agenda:
Who ever you are and whatever you do, one thing is for sure: we need to advertise in order to increase our business and grow our bottom line. This is the perfect time to start thinking about how you can get your companies name in the hands of the people who could benefit most from what you offer.
Here are 3 things you can do right now to grab their attention:
- Do a give away
Your customers have a lot of options. It is up to you to let them know that you are thinking about them, so that they won’t think about anyone else when they are ready to use your services.
Offer them something that they will use everyday in their work. Then put your name on it.
For instance, if you supply waterproofing to installers, give them a mill thickness gauge. This is something they will use every day in their work, and they will remember who gave it to them as they pull it out of their pockets to put it to work. Whatever your customers do – remind them that you are there to help whenever they need it.
2. Keep them warm in the changing weather
Even though it is spring, The weather can be pretty iffy…especially in Michigan. A hooded sweatshirt, light jacket or even a base layer shirt can help to keep them warm as they venture out again into the April air.
Try a new location to place your company name. Instead of the traditional left chest design, try instead down the arm of a shirt, on the cuff of a jacket, or even between the shoulder blades of a hoodie.
3. Keep them safe
Do your customers work in an industry that requires safety gear? Get them started with a safety yellow t-shirt, a ANSI safety vest or even a hardhat with your logo on it. they will be grateful, I guarantee it!
However you choose to spend your advertising dollars, be smart and give them something they can’t help but use.
